So, the last trip I took wasn’t all that painful… it was exhausting, sure, but there were very few things that caused me pain. I was actually really surprised.
Unfortunately, this time is a bit different. I’d been stiff and sore before we left for Cali… and it hasn’t gotten any better. I’ve been far more active this vacation than I have been in the past three months (well, probably more) and I can physically tell. Everything from the waist down feels like it’s been run over by a steam roller, and then my ear. I’m enjoying myself immensely, but, tomorrow is a necessary “rest” day (at least just hang around my parents’ house and take it easy).
One of my BFFs is getting married this coming Saturday, and I really need to get energy for that! I can’t wait! And I’m hoping I’ll have a bunch of photos to share from it (it should be gorgeous)!
I hope the body picks itself up a bit so you can get to the wedding. If not and it is only playing ‘half nice’ maybe you can just attend just the ceremony or just the reception (whichever is more important to you). Sometimes we have to compromise to the ability of what our body will let us do – fingers crossed it picks up for you!

The bride of this coming wedding was actually the Maid of Honor at my wedding, and I’ve known her since we were about 8… And my entire family is going. I’ll stay as long as they do, I just might have to limit the amount of dancing that I do 😥 I get so upset when that happens (at a recent wedding I felt like my heart was going to get out of my chest and run laps around the room without me, from too much dancing…)
If being my MOH was easy, I’d probably feel fine skipping some of it… but my wedding was in CO and she lives in CA and she flew out for it twice (once for wedding dress shopping, then for my wedding)… the day after my wedding she graduated college, which meant she flew the night after my wedding and then drove for the 4 hours to get to her school. I’m definitely willing to torture myself a bit to attend her’s 😛 (Plus, thankfully, I don’t really have anything going on next week that I need my energy for hehe)
(I’m a little too stubborn for my own good…)

Sounds like you have a great friend on your hands :). Well remember to do all your prepping! Lots of water and salty foods on the day and rest heaps the day before. Best of luck!!

Thank you! I’m definitely going to be doing my prep, probably will wear my compression stockings tomorrow too, since I’ve been having some trouble with my feet the last two days… But I am bound and determined to make it through her wedding! (She is indeed awesome!)
